Meet a Multimac Family – Katie Wratten

What’s your name?

Katie

Where are you from?

Cambridgeshire

Tell us a bit about your family!

My husband and I married when we were young and had 11 years together before our lovely kiddies came along. We have now been married for almost 20 years and are enjoying homeschooling our 3 children, aged 8, 6 and 4.

Tell us a bit about your car.

Thanks to the Multimac we have finally been able to say goodbye to the people carrier and now have a Range Rover Velar.

How did you manage before you had your Multimac, or what would you have done as an alternative?

Previous to our current car we had a Ford S-Max. Not our car of choice, however when our third child came along our car seat requirements dictated what car we had. The S-Max is one of only a few cars that have three Isofix points across the back seats.

Without Multimac, we would still have to be driving a people carrier.

What made you purchase a Multimac?

All three of our children had outgrown their car seats, with the eldest now able to safely sit in a high back booster.

We took this car seat change as an opportunity to replace the S-Max with a car we liked.

Still needing three car seats across the middle, we purchased the Velar. As well as three new car seats, that should have been able to fit.

However this was not the case – they were extremely squashed and just felt unsafe, so we had no choice but to return the car seats.

We now had two options: sell the car or find seats that worked… This is when we came across Multimac.

How did you hear about Multimac?

I think I had seen one on Instagram without really realising what it was, however once our car seat needed changing and we started to google our options, we came across the Multimac.

We only wish we had found out about it earlier in our car seat journey.

How would you describe your experience with Multimac?

We only have good things to say about our Multimac and the friendly Multimac team.

Do you have any tips or advice for new Multimac owners?

If you have any worries or questions don’t hesitate to contact the lovely team at Multimac. They are really friendly and have always been happy to help us with any questions we have had.

Did you have any concerns when purchasing your Multimac?

This was a big purchase for us so the decision to place an order wasn’t taken lightly.

As we hadn’t heard of Multimac before, or any other car seat like it, I was concerned about the safety of the seat. Safety has always been a priority in previous car seat purchases.

However after watching the safety video on the Multimac website; learning about the various tests the seat goes through and learning more about the construction of the seat, my concerns were eased.

Do you have any exciting road trips planned with your Multimac?

We have recently driven all the way down to Lands End Cornwall, giving the Multimac a great road test.

Our next Multimac adventure will be when we drive to Paris at the end of the summer!

Is there any advice you’d give to someone who’s considering purchasing a Multimac?

Make the most of the Multimac website. Watch the videos and read the information provided. It helped answer a lot of our questions and gave us confidence in our decision to purchase it.
